Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary is a USDA approved big cat rescue funded through a 501(c)3 Foundation. Our mission is to provide a permanent home for exotic cats that have endured neglect, abuse, or other undesirable homes. We strive to provide these cats with a healthy lifestyle by providing the best vet care, diets, and enrichment activities possible. We also educate people on the importance of habitat conservation and wildlife preservation, and we stress the endangerments these cats face not only in the wild but also in captivity. We encourage teachers and students to participate in our “Living Classroom? program.
We currently house a family of 4 tigers (mother, father, 2 daughters) and a young lioness. On a guided tour around the perimeter of the enclosures, students will have the unique opportunity to see our animals just 5 feet away behind a double-fencing system. Following the tour and education activity, groups will have the chance to go on our observation deck for more picture opportunities.
We offer a specialized education program for teachers and students; it includes a power point presentation (teachers choose the topic). We have different types of replica bones and tools in the Living Classroom for the students to handle and compare. With activities uniquely designed for the age group in attendance, the students are able to learn new things in interesting ways. The students will also learn about habitat and wildlife conservation, an important aspect of the future of our animals. The students will also be given information on how they can get involved in the preservation of this endangered species.
Pricing structure:
$10 per person, per hour (1 adult free per 10 children)
